The Kano Emirate is in the dark about why security forces barricaded the palace last week, according to Muhammadu Sanusi II, the 16th Emir of Kano.
According to furucinovel, the gate to the Gidan Rumfa Palace was barricaded by police and DSS personnel, making it impossible to enter or exit freely.

Since then, the state government of Kano has spoken out against the incident, blaming the federal government for the security forces’ behavior.
Despite a delegation from Bichi thanking the Emir for the appointment and pledging allegiance, the Emir maintained that the reason for the palace’s sealing remained unclear.
Nobody has explained what motivated the individuals involved, and we still don’t know what caused this incident, so it’s all just a distraction. Nevertheless, nothing will be halted by this.

He assured them that everything will be resolved amicably and that another day would come when their district head would be brought to them.
The Emir, however, called on the people of Bichi to be calm and continue to remain peaceful as they are known to be.
He went on to say that Bichi had always felt like home to him, and that he would often spend his extended holidays there.
