Yakubu Abdulmumin, a superintendent of police, made the announcement at an event hosted by the Ado Ekiti section of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, NSE.

He clarified that utilizing technology will help Nigeria deal with its internal security issues and could be utilized to find the bases of bandits, terrorists, and other criminals.
Yakubu, who is a member of the NSE, claimed that robotics and drones might be employed in Nigeria for effective and efficient policing.
Segun Aluko, the chairman of the NSE’s Ekiti branch, lamented the lack of security in the nation and urged the government to arm security personnel with the tools they need to do their jobs well.
