Kola Olagbondiyan, a spokeswoman for the Peoples Democratic Party’s Presidential Campaign Council, has urged on security authorities to guarantee the “Jagaban Army” is formally disbanded.
Former PDP national secretary Olagbondiyan stated that security agencies must secure those who have come to vote as well as their votes.

He made the decision while answering questions on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Wednesday.
Remember that the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, unveiled the Jagaban Army, a sub-directorate of the party’s youth wing entrusted with grassroots mobilization for its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and all other candidates across the country.
However, according to the PDP spokesperson, it is a conduit for bringing together thugs and arsonists who will wreak havoc during the polls.

“At first, our party (PDP) came out to raise the flag that the Jagaban Army is a conduit for bringing together thugs and arsonists who will guarantee that they wreak chaos during the elections,” he explained. We have even suggested that President Muhammadu Buhari convene a National Security Council meeting to address the issue of this rogue army. And they are incapable of providing any defense; they will be unable to defend it. What we see at Surulere and other places is part of it.
“Don’t forget that in 2019, aside from the threat of dumping people into the sea, they almost didn’t allow people to vote in areas dominated by individuals they believe will not vote for their candidate. These are actual facts. And now the Party’s head, Bola Tinubu, is running; one can only image what will happen.
“So I feel that the INEC and our security forces have a role to play if indeed, we want to have a free, fair and credible election. They must ensure that the Jagaban army is abolished officially. We must ensure that security forces protect individuals who have come to vote and that their votes are secure. This is quite significant.”
