On Thursday, Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church warned President Bola Tinubu not to believe Vice President Kashim Shettima and Senate President Godswill Akpabio when they said that the recent demonstrations against hardship were sponsored.
He warned Tinubu that Shettima and Akapbio are tricking him into going along with their plan to flood the streets and voice their frustrations because the Nigerian people are suffering.

Oluwatosin Osho, who is supposed to be Ayodele’s spokesman, released a statement in which the president scolded the two for being callous to Nigerians’ sentiments and for turning their complaints to empty political rhetoric at a time when the government should be meeting their needs.
He warned that Nigeria would face further problems unless immediate action is taken. People are hurting and nobody is paying for a protest, thus Tinubu should ignore his deceivers.
As a result of the economic downturn, people are furious. Everything has turned upside down right now, therefore Tinubu should disregard any irrelevant side conversations.

Prior to the deadline, Tinubu ought to take action. What Akpabio said in response to the demonstration was not intelligent; it was just callous. It is uncharacteristic of Shetimma and Akpabio to claim that the protests are funded.
The people are just hungry, and these are the things that God has predicted will happen under your regime; nobody is financing anything. Such meaningless remarks are now unbecoming of Nigeria. There needs to be action from your government rather than finger-pointing.
