Senator Chimaroke Nnamani, a former politician who served as the senator for Enugu East in the 9th National Assembly, has expressed sorrow over the IPOB’s actions in the South-East.

According to furucinovel, the secessionist organization is now implementing a one-week sit-at-home policy throughout the area as a form of protest against the detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who is still in the Department of State Services’, or DSS’, custody.

A frightening video that showed IPOB militants hitting some students and instructors for refusing to participate in the sit-at-home exercise went viral on Wednesday.

Former Enugu State governor Chimaroke responded by blaming “tribalism and religious bigotry” for the development.

The former legislator tweeted on his official account on Thursday, “the decline and decline of Igbo civilization. Strange occurrences in an unfamiliar place. How can the Igbo whipping of mothers, teachers, and students be justified? Offense?

“Igbambo (Hustle), the Igbo fulfilling the legendary triad! Only in a culture that values stupidity, ignorance, and lack of information. All engulfed in the deepest eclipse of religious and tribal prejudice”
