Ashleigh Plumptre, a defender for the Super Falcons, was pleased with Friday’s performance against Cameroon.

At Douala’s Stade de la Reunification, Randy Waldrum’s squad and the Indomitable Lionesses battled to a scoreless tie.

Plumptre was pleased with the performance of the Super Falcons, even though they did not win the game.

Game by game, we shall approach it. It goes without saying that making the Olympic team is the ultimate goal. “I don’t know how long we haven’t been at the Olympics,” Plumptre said during her post-game interview with the press.

I guess you could say we’re just focused on the current game. There will be other qualifying games, but for now, we’re concentrating on Cameroon.

In the second leg, we intend to replicate today’s performance. The draw is a good result. Even if we lost today, we will be back next time.

Obviously, we will win the next game and advance to the next round based on our performance. Game by game is how we’d like to approach it.

On Monday, the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja will host the rematch.
