Bruno Fernandes, a midfielder for Manchester United, has compared the manager of the Red Devils, Erik ten Hag, to Pep Guardiola of Manchester City and Jurgen Klopp of Liverpool.

Fernandes also made the suggestion that Ten Hag had enforced order in the Manchester United locker room, something that past administrators at Old Trafford failed to achieve.

In April, Ten Hag was named as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s long-term replacement by Manchester United.

The Dutchman has defeated both Liverpool and the league-leading Arsenal in his last four Premier League games, and he has won five of his last six games overall.

Fernandes told The Athletic, “First of all, he has a concept. He is stylish. You must abide by his instructions. On that, he is strict. It’s nice that, too.

“He has introduced discipline, something I believe we have been lacking in the past. Everyone must agree on everything. Pep (Guardiola) and Jurgen Klopp have been doing that for years because they have consistency in the club, in the decisions they make regarding the transfer market, and in the manner they assemble the team, which is crucial for them to be rewarded.

“I witnessed the manager tell the press during a press conference that we don’t want to bring in players only for the sake of bringing them in; rather, we want to bring in the proper players for what we want to accomplish. It is a must for the club.

“We still have room to grow, and he needs time to figure out how to play to get the most from us. I am confident that we will eventually work well together and have everyone on the same page with him.
