Joshua Joseph, who serves as the Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development for the state of Taraba, has stated that all of the necessary mechanisms for the Governor Kefas Cup 2023, which is a talent hunt football competition in the state, have been put into place.

He stated that the goal of the competition that is scheduled to take place the next month is to look for football skills, particularly among the younger people in the state.

In a statement that he released on Saturday, he explained that this will not only assist in reactivating sports, but it will also intensify sporting activities within the state.

According to him, the tournament “will attract great Scouts and Sporting Directors from some of the top club sides in Europe, along with some selected European players, who will be present to grace the occasion.” They will be there with the intention of keeping an eye on the league after which the resuscitation of Taraba United will also be established through the tournament.

The commissioner stated that appropriate safety precautions have been taken in order to guarantee that the tournament will go off without a hitch, and he urged local citizens to show up in large numbers to show their support for the tournament.
