Yobe State’s Governor Mai Mala Buni has introduced palliatives for the people of the state to ease the hardships brought on by the elimination of gasoline subsidy.
According to NAN, last Saturday in Damaturu, Alhaji Mamman Mohammed, Director General, Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, made a statement.

The governor promised that the government will investigate ways to assist farmers, traders, and citizens with their transportation, food, and other basic requirements.
“The administration will look into these crucial sectors to provide palliatives to our people. The government is aware of the difficulty caused by the subsidy elimination.
We will investigate how to assist inter- and intra-town transportation as well as other essential services for our citizens.

According to Buni, “the government would similarly devise policies to provide shuttle buses to students of tertiary institutions at reasonable costs.”
In a meeting held in Abuja, the National Executive Council decided on strategies to ease the burden caused by the loss of subsidies on the general public, as reported by furucinovel.
