Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Igboho, a Yoruba Nation agitator, has warned Islamic scholar Ahmad Gumi about his “careless” remarks and sermons.
Igboho pledged that he would never fold his arms and allow Gumi to incite bloodshed in Nigeria’s polity through his preachings.

Gumi had previously stated that Christians cannot be trusted with Nigeria’s security, and had called for the removal of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
Following Wike’s meeting with an Israeli official, during which they discussed Abuja’s security, the controversial Islamic scholar made the call.
Gumi had stated the current administration might not get a second term after accusing President Bola Tinubu of selecting Southern Christians to crucial positions.

Igboho, who condemned Gumi’s remark, claimed that the Sheikh was attempting to re-secure his contract with bandits under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
“We know Gumi’s pedigree and his antics,” he said in a statement. Individuals like Tinubu should have been explaining their positions to security authorities on the raging insurgency in the country’s north before Tinubu arrived.
“While we will continue to advocate for an egalitarian society, we cannot fold our arms and allow Gumi to incite the polity through his careless, destructive, and inciting preachings.” The security of Nigeria, as established in the 1999 Constitution, must not be abused by anyone, no matter how high or low they are situated.

“We are not advocates for the Federal Government, but we are critical stakeholders in Nigeria’s project, thus the need to drum sanity and decorum into the ears of anyone with religious fanaticism tendencies.”
“For peace to reign supreme, it is incumbent on all and sundry to desist from any act that triggers mutual suspicion, distrust and needless crisis among Nigerians.”
