Before granting property to anyone for development, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Administration will establish the necessary infrastructure, according to Minister Nyesom Wike.

When Wike was visited in Abuja on Thursday by Justice John Tsoho, the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, he made this statement.

He acknowledged that his predecessor had made some distributions, but pointed out that some of the locations lacked access roads or other forms of infrastructure.

“I think it is illogical to give land to people when they are unable to access it. We want to make sure you can access them for the land’s development,” he stated.

The minister said that he had received approval from President Bola Tinubu to distribute land to the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government.

Developing the plan for implementation, he claimed, was holding up the distribution of funds since there were so many people anticipated to benefit from it across all three branches of the government.

Because everything cannot be completed at once, he explained, “what we are trying to do is to do it in phases.”

Wike emphasized that the three branches of government must cooperate while preserving their own liberties.
