Ex-Minister Dalung: Buhari was utilized to remove Jonathan and then dumped

According to Solomon Dalung, a former minister of sports, former president Muhammadu Buhari was instrumental in deposing former president Goodluck Jonathan.

Dalung claimed that the ruling class abandoned Buhari following his role in Jonathan’s demise.

The ex-minister made the remarks while appearing on Mic On, Seun Okinbaloye’s podcast.

Additionally, he claimed that after Buhari was utilized, the political elites took over his government.

The political elites required Buhari’s appeal to get rid of Jonathan, so they used and dumped him, says Dalung.

These groups of political elites arose soon after Buhari assumed office, seized control of the administration, and began treating Buhari as an outsider.

At any given moment, I can state with confidence that Buhari was an outsider even within his own administration.

“Look at the common people’s investment in our government and here we are today with insecurity. We campaigned and convinced Nigerians, but this isn’t what we told them. When I went to see the president when I was out of office in 2020, I told him, ‘Mr. president.'”
