After losing games, former Nigerian midfielder John Mikel Obi talked candidly about Jose Mourinho.
After being signed by Chelsea in 2006, Mikel Obi represented Portugal while playing for the Premier League team.
Under Mourinho, he went on to play 119 games during two distinct stints.
After a poor performance, Mourinho would disregard everyone, according to Mikel Obi, who was speaking on the Obi One podcast.
“As long as you’re winning, you’re fine with Mourinho,” he stated.
“You’re his best buddy as long as you’re playing well. You guys are OK as long as everything proceeds as planned. Every time we lost a big game, he would spend a few days upstairs in his office, as I recall.
“He stays away from the training ground and doesn’t communicate with anyone.” He strolls by you after you say good morning to him. Not only does he not visit the eatery. He disappears from your sight for a few days until we return to the field and triumph once more.
