The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, or EEDC, has declared that it is powerless to address the current inadequate power supply that the South-East is experiencing.
The corporation blamed the problem on poor energy generation, which has led to a widespread decline in the availability of power supplies.
This information was revealed in a statement released on Monday by Mr. Emeka Ezeh, the head of corporate communications at EEDC.
But Ezeh asked the zone’s citizens to be patient with the business.
Low generation as a result of the development, he claimed, has reduced the amount of daily megawatt hours (MWH) of energy allotted to distribution businesses across the country, which has an effect on the quality of service provided to its clients.
We acknowledge the inconveniences this situation has brought to our valued clients and ask for their patience as we are unable to address it.
“We are limited to sharing what has been assigned to us,” he declared.
He stated that the several parties involved in the power industry were working to find a solution to this problem, and “we hope this yields positive results so that normal distribution will return.”
