Stupid people claiming I’m asking for 25% The Wike

Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has called people who accuse him of expecting a quarter of the Rivers government’s revenue “ignorant.”

When a group of 11 House of Representatives members and three senators from the Rivers Caucus in the 10th National Assembly paid him a visit in Abuja, Wike made this statement.

Following the Rivers Assembly’s effort to remove Governor Siminalayi Fubara from office, a crisis broke out in Rivers.

For eight years, I served as governor. Some may argue that, as the FCT Minister, I am requesting a quarter of the total. That is insane. I have no interest in overseeing the governance of Rivers. Although I am a governor in the Federal Capital Territory, I am interested in the political system that we have established in Rivers.

“The person will confront the crisis he desires in his life if they have the audacity to bring it down. Donate or not donate, but don’t tamper with our political system. Anybody who tinkers with our system, seize anything you can,” Wike issued a warning.

He pleaded with the caucus members to cooperate for the sake of the Rivers people rather than let the state down.

“However, don’t imply we’re expecting a 25% kickback from you or something like that when we call you. We are all one. Since 2015, we have been constructing this political system, and we have succeeded.

“I saw hell as the opposition party starting in 2015.” The Federal Government opposed me on all sides, but we made it through with your help. You will find that it is hard for an outsider to overcome you at home when you operate as a team, said Wike.
