The 2024 CAF Player of the Year is Ademola Lookman

This past year, the CAF Footballer of the Year was Ademola Lookman, a winger with the Super Eagles.

At a lavish ceremony in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday night, Lookman was declared the victor.

The Atalanta star was the winner, beating out Simon Adingra of the Ivory Coast, Achraf Hakimi of PSG, Serhou Guirassy of Guinea, and Ronwen Williams of South Africa, the goalkeeper.

With his hat trick against Bayer Leverkusen in the 26th minute, Lookman became the first player since 1975 to score a hat trick in the Europa League/UEFA Cup final. His year has been absolutely phenomenal.

Lookman finished the season with 18 goals for La Dea in the first level and was named to the Europa League Team of the Year.

At the Ballon d’Or ceremony on October 28, the 27-year-old was named the fourteenth best player.
